The Chewelah Arts Guild is excited to introduce its newest work, the Arts in Schools Program (AISP). This initiative expands arts education in local classrooms during regular school hours. Through a registry of vetted local artist instructors and their projects, classroom teachers can select arts lessons that align with their curriculum, student age levels, and learning goals.

The program compensates artist instructors for their time in the classroom, and financial assistance is available for supply costs related to the projects. Lessons may cover a variety of artistic mediums, including watercolor, collage, printmaking, murals, poetry and creative writing, clay, fiber arts, movement and dance, photography, and music-making. Local field trips, guided by an artist instructor as part of a specific project, may also be offered.

These lessons are designed to inspire creativity and a love for the arts in young students!
